Westmeath libraries have revealed the most popular books and authors of 2023 to Topic. There are five libraries in Westmeath including Mullingar, Castlepollard, Kilbeggan, Moate and Athlone. A new library in Kinnegad is currently under construction. Little Miss Sunshine by English children’s author Roger Hargreaves was the most popular book taken out of Westmeath libraries in 2023. It was followed by Kipper’s Alphabet I Spy by Kate Ruttle in second and The Moon Jet Read With Biff, Chip & Kipper by Roderick Hunt in third.
American Author R.J. Palacio came in third with her book Wonder with Dog Man: Fetch-22 by Dav Pilkey in fifth. Graham Norton’s Home Stretch was the only top 10 entry for an Irish author at Westmeath libraries
