As plans continue for next year’s Heart of Ireland Festival in Mullingar, organisers have looked to none other than those involved with the International Rose Of Tralee Festival for inspiration.
The past week has been extremely busy for the Heart of Ireland team and Steve Cronly of the Rose of Tralee festival was among the many people they have met. There were also key get togethers with Ian O’Flynn of the Westmeath Volunteer Centre, Noel O’Farrell, Midlands Radio 103 and Enda and Niall from the Westmeath Rose Centre.
“We are now actively seeking funding and sponsorship, That’s why passing the 1000 ‘likes’ mark on Facebook on Sunday night was important for us,” explained festival organiser, Maria Bourke.
