Irish Rail have been forced to apologise after the doors of Mullingar Train Station were locked on the morning of Tuesday, 15 August, resulting in at least 10 passengers missing the 6.10am train.
Some of the passengers took to Twitter to voice their annoyance of the situation. One man wrote “all passengers are unable to access the platform” and that Irish Rail have “some explaining to do”.
