Mullingar author Patricia Gibney is set to release the latest edition in the Lottie Parker detective series, The Guilty Girl on Wednesday June 15.
Detective Lottie Parker is first on the scene following the murder of a 17-year-old girl and an investigation into a possible serial killer ensues.
The Guilty Girl is the 11th book in the series which began in 2017. The previous 10 editions hit a milestone last March when they reached sales totalling two million copies.
Lottie Parker’s adventures are set in the fictional town of Ragmullin which is an anagram of Mullingar. Her books are published by Bookouture.
Book one in the series, The Missing Ones, sold 100,000 copies in its first month, gaining the No.1 spot on the Amazon Kindle charts while reaching sixth place on the overall US charts.
The local author took to writing after her husband passed away in 2009 – she had previously worked for Westmeath County Council for 30 years.
