On Sunday, 27 September, between 2pm and 5pm, the Reserve Defence Forces unit in Mullingar – C Company of the 6th Infantry Battalion – will be holding an open day for members of the public. C Company are currently recruiting from Westmeath, Offaly and Longford, and the open day will be a great source of information for anyone who is interested in joining up.
There will be a presentation on the recruiting process and the training, courses and experiences you can expect from joining the Reserve Defence Forces, and there will also be a weapons and kit display, where serving reservists will show you what equipment they use and you can ask them any questions that you might have.
