AS JOHN LANIGAN sat in a lecture hall in his second year of aeronautical engineering at Queen’s University in Belfast, he suddenly realised that his career lay not in modelling and designing aircrafts, but in fact, flying them.
So was the turning point in a young man’s career, that kick-started a life of adventure which now sees him on top of the world, quite literally, as – based out of Abu Dhabi in the UAE – he flies on a weekly basis to exotic and far-flung destinations that most people can only dream of.
